Retail Wealth Management (Macao)

The Macau Institute of Financial Services (MIFS), University of Macao and Hong Kong Institute of Bankers (HKIB) have jointly organized the Certified Financial Management Program (CFMP) since 2021. Since 01 July 2022, the Retail Wealth Management (RWM) (Macao) program has replaced the CFMP.

The RWM (Macao) consists of the following modules with 18 hours of each module in two stages:

Stage 1:    Associate Retail Wealth Professional Macao（ARWP Macao）

Module 1: Regulatory Environment for Banking and Financial Planning

Module 2: Investment Planning

Module 3: Essentials of Banking

Stage 2:    Certified Retail Wealth Professional Macao（CRWP Macao）

Module 5: Investment and Asset Management: Product Solutions  

Module 6: Investment and Asset Management: Alternatives and Wealth Solutions

Module 7: Financial Planning and Wealth Management

No classroom training and examination for Module 4: Insurance and Retirement Planning, students should apply for exemption.

The 2022 RWM (Macao) program schedule is from September 2022 to November 2023, and the venue for classes is at Faculty of Business Administration, University of Macau, E4.

The program is suitable for the newly joined banking staff or banking practitioners.

The entry requirements are as follows:

• Associated Degree or above, OR

• Equivalent academic or professional qualification,

• 3 years’ banking working experience and recommended by employer.

To enrol in the program, applicants are required:

• To fill in the application form and sign;

• To submit copies of Identification Documents, and relevant true copies of transcript/certificate/diploma, or working experience proof document; and

• To pay the tuition fee.

Upon successfully completion of Module 1-4, and meeting working experience requirements, students will be awarded “Associate Retail Wealth Professional Macao (ARWP Macao)”.  Upon successfully completion of Module 1-7, and meeting working experience requirements, students will be awarded “Certified Retail Wealth Professional Macao (CRWP Macao)”.
